WHEELHOUSE PROJECT

The Wheelhouse is a modern workplace adapted from a collection of manufacturing buildings. The industrial history of the complex is a perfect fit for loft style work spaces. The building has a clean, industrial look with high ceilings, white walls, and exposed concrete and steel. Our mission is to create a thriving creative hub on E. Main Street, reinvigorating the old manufacturing neighborhood. The Wheelhouse is anchored by Hefferlin + Kronenberg Architects, an award winning local architecture and design firm, and Set In Stone, a custom concrete and metal fabrication shop. There is currently a mix of creative small businesses such as digital media designers, web developers, photographers, artists, think tanks, and a coffee shop. This is the new collaborative home of talented designers, professionals, and creatives who are all tapped into the pulse of the growing Chattanooga markets.

The Wheelhouse is a convenient, accessible location, close to the eateries of the historic Southside, the UTC campus, and the districts of downtown. It is an ideal spot for your next party, event, or meeting. If you are looking for a hip new space for a meeting, exhibit, soiree, or hoe down then come check out the space we have available for rent. Sharing coffee brings collaboration. We believe coffee is more than the sum of its elements. Coffee brings people together, and in its simplicity, enlivens our culture. It’s not just about the coffee for us—though we care a great deal about the quality, sustainability and the craft of our product—it’s a means to develop a more collaborative culture in the community around us and the city of Chattanooga as a whole.

Tenants of The Wheelhouse have access to numerous shared amenities. Some of these include the expansive conference room with built in media and both relaxed and formal seating, the eat-in kitchen, the ping-pong table, the workshop, and the porch and patio. We have a wide range of spaces available for leasing. Each space has access to the shared amenities but stands alone as a place to work or create. The Wheelhouse is home to an exciting and creative mix of small businesses and artists and hopes to continue to cultivate a diverse collaborative workspace.
